About Fauntleroy Park
Fauntleroy Park is a 28-acre wooded ravine in West Seattle, defined by
S.W. Barton Street on the north and 97th Avenue S.W. on the south.
With six entrances and a network of trails, the park is one of the city’s
best-preserved reminders of the way Puget Sound lowland forests once
were. Most trails are in a natural state, although some have been
supplemented with gravel or boardwalks.
People are encouraged to enjoy their visit and
observe the following posted rules:
- No bike riding within the park
- No drugs or alcohol within the park
- No camping or campfires within the park
- No cutting or removing of any plant materials
in the park ·
- Please observe current leash and scoop laws for
your pet.
The park has no public restrooms, parking areas,
or recreational facilities. It is closed to the public from sunset to 6
a.m.

Directions to Fauntleroy Park
(Street parking at both entrances)
S.W. Barton Street Entrance From Fauntleroy Way
S.W.: Go southbound past Lincoln Park and the ferry terminal, then
veer left with the arterial (the name changes three times!). After two
stop signs, continue up the hill past Fauntleroy Church and around a
big curve to the park sign on your right.
From 35th Ave. S.W.: Turn toward the water at
S.W. Barton and go down the hill to the park sign on your left.
By bus: Metro's #54 stops near the park sign.
97th Ave. S.W. Entrance
From 35th Ave. S.W.: Turn toward the water at 98th, then right at 39th
and left at 97th to the park sign on your right.
