Fauntleroy Neighborhood Walk-Thru with City of Seattle Officials
2:30–4:30 p.m.
Neighborhood Tour

Fauntleroy Community Association board members and others will walk through the neighborhood with Seattle City Councilmember Tom Rasmussen and representatives from the Mayor’s Office and SDOT. If you’d like to participate, meet in front of Endolyne Joe’s at 2:30. The group will walk the triangle first, and then go by car to Roxbury-Marine View intersection and then the Rose-Lincoln Park area. If time allows, the tour will return to Endolyne Joe’s or Original Bakery for afternoon tea and debrief. For more information, contact Marty Westerman (artartart@seanet.com).

4th Annual Fauntleroy Chili Cook-Off & Cornbread Extravaganza
6:30–8 p.m.

Planners for annual Fauntleroy Chili Cook-Off have issued a call for home chefs interested in competing. All Fauntleroy neighbors and friends are welcome to participate! If you think your meat or vegetarian recipe has what it takes to win, call 206-932-5600 or e-mail info@fauntleroyucc.org for details. And whether you cook or not, if you like chili and cornbread, then the Chili Cook-Off is the place to be on Saturday the 31st! Guests pay $7 at the door for beverage, cornbread, condiments, rootbeer float and five best-chili votes. Yum!

Each year, the Fauntleroy Community Association (FCA) sponsors the Fauntleroy Food Fest as a way to bring neighbors together, welcome new members, and renew existing memberships. Neighborhood and nearby restaurants and caterers contribute scrumptious treats, local organizations offer information and resources of interest to Fauntleroy neighbors, who mingle and talk. Members vote on a slate of officers, and fun is had by all. There is no charge to attend, but if you haven't paid dues in the past year, please bring your checkbook.
