Announcements – Endolyne Joe’s is sending $1152.81 from the Fall Festival Fund Raiser held April 29th. Thank you very much. Treasurer Phil Sweetland needs a signed voucher to send funds to Tuxedo and Tennis Shoes for annual meeting expenses. The newsletter mailing party will be at Dawson’s.

Web Site Review – Chris Nack reminded us that updates to articles and features should come from the source. The calendar can be revised to simplify access for updates and additions by FCA board members. A reminder should be added to the monthly e-mail to go to the web site.

The executive committee will meet soon to go over the budget for the remainder of this year and next year. Special renewal letters will go out in addition to the newsletters.

Karin Cumming brought the City Trees Program to our attention. The city of Seattle will deliver up to 40 trees to groups of five or more households, free. Instruction and training is also offered. For further information please call Dept of Neighborhoods at 684-0464 or visit their website at www.seattle.gov/neighborhoods/nmf/treefund .

The seawall replacement and viaduct meeting was held at Madison Middle School earlier this evening. The Seattle DOT presented several possibilities for viaduct replacement or elimination. Public comment as encouraged and the discussion was getting heated. Their website is www.wsdot.wa.gov/projects/viaduct .

Vlad Oustimovitch reports that the city of Seattle is also supporting Climate Action Now. Various items are available to encourage conservation, including weatherization instructions and shower timers.

Treasurer Report – FCA operating budget shows $3000.00 including a neighborhood grant. Dues are arriving at a slower pace than last year. FCA is fiduciary agent for the Fauntleroy Documentary project. The documentary budget is $25,000 including money from the dept of neighborhoods and pledges. A motion to donate $200.00 from the FCA to the documentary project was moved, seconded and passed. A public showing of the documentary will be in late summer, DVDs will be available.

Gary Dawson reports the Ferry Transportation committee will update the status of the Ferry system at the next meeting. One Ferry will be designed in Ballard for the Port Townsend run.

There was a good turnout for the Cove Park cleanup. The fence was repaired, and the park was cleaned. The house next to the park was purchased by King County for use during the sewer upgrade. Martha Tuttle is the project coordinator.

Gordon Wiehler and Debbie Goetz led the discussion on emergency preparedness. Where do people gather? The Fauntleroy Church has a contract with the Red Cross as a neighborhood shelter. The Fauntleroy School is also a potential site. The FCA will host a table about emergency preparedness at the Fall Festival. Debbie volunteered to supply a disaster tip of the month to the FCA website.

Meeting was adjorned at 9:15.
