We may have a new data base manager. Bruce will have further details to come.

Susan Lantz-Dey has consolidated all the meeting supplies into a kit that can be transported to meetings. She also prepared boards to hold meeting notices. Martha will prepare the signs with correct time and date for the annual meeting. Forms in PDF format will be burned to a CD for printing as needed.

Phil will print the magnets. Ann, Martha and Kathleen will make phone calls. Phil and Lynn will do the table tents and the set-up layout. Lynn announced that Giononi’s Pizza will join us this year. Abbondonza Pizza will not be able to participate this year.

It was suggested and accepted that a $10.00 “Living Lightly” membership be offered. Eligibility rules will be determined by the executive board before the annual meeting.

Promotions for the Food Fest will be placed at local businesses, the Fauntleroy Children’s Center, and neighborhood mail boxes. Each member is encouraged to send e-mail to invite their friends and neighbors.

Paulette Elster brought it to our attention that Sound Transit was planning to drop the 560 Express to the Airport in West Seattle. All board members were urged to take immediate action to save the service. Plans were made to post notices and call officials.

Vlad reports from the SouthWest District Council that plans for a year round water taxi service are on schedule, along with plans for a bored tunnel downtown. Metro has a huge deficit so we should expect cuts in bus service.

Treasurer’s report: from the full report posted online, Phil explained that a check is in the mail to cover the $426.00 deficit in the watershed council’s account. The CD from the documentary project is still selling.

Kim Petram will represent the FCA Board on the Fall Festival committee.

The Ferry Advisory Committee is still working to prevent dock expansion.

Paulette Elster brought a request from her block on 47th SW for further traffic impediments. It was explained that the FCA cannot take a position on disputes between neighbors or members.

New business – U of Washington has a survey that Martha will complete online. Councilman Tom Rasmussen would like to schedule a visit to an FCA meeting.

Martha requested assistance with the Lauren tide path and some easement clarification. Bruce volunteered his expertise to look up some easement records.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:10.
